Spotify Listening history

Complete Method to View Spotify listening history

When we are listening to music, we usually don’t want to track our music-listening history. Instead, we enjoy the rhythms, lyrics, and essence of a particular track. But we also want to listen to repeat some songs and want to know about the history. So, what’s the solution?

Spotify maintains the listening history for every person. So, if you want to listen to a song that you have listened to some hours, days, or weeks ago, then simply open the history and play it again. Amazing! But how can we use the said facility? Let’s explore the complete mechanism to listen to some songs from history:

Spotify is considered one of the best podcasts, songs, albums, and other music-listening applications. Here is the method to do so:

  • Open the Spotify application.
  • Visit the home page.
  • You will see a button named “Recently played” in the top right corner, just click it.
  • That’s it! Now, you will have albums, tracks, and songs that you have listened to earlier.
  • Open the “Songs & Episodes” by viewing the menu in the top right corner and see the history of your songs on your mobile phone.

Viewing Songs Listening History on PC or Laptop

  • Open the Spotify application on your PC or laptop.

Non-Deletion of Spotify Playback History

You cannot delete the playback history. But you can make your history data private by following some guidelines.

Enable Private Session

Go to Settings, then Private Settings and enable Private Session. It will restrict the said app from collecting the data. So, your history will remain private.

Hiding the Activity

The said app also allows its users to hide their activities. So, your listening songs will not appear in the history when you enable “Hide the Activity”. However, it does not erase the previously maintained history.

Conclusion

The listening history helps in listening to favorite, related, and other similar kinds of songs. You can open the history in Spotify and you can also request for extended playback history. It can be hidden by turning on privacy settings.
